The Association of St. Louis Area Archivists (ASLAA), formed in 1972, is a professional association of archivists and manuscript curators from institutions throughout the bi-state metropolitan area. Membership is open to all interested individuals. Dues are $7.50/year, payable in October. ASLAA holds two meetings per year at repositories around the St. Louis area, and publishes a newsletter, the Acid Free Press. Since 1985, ASLAA has published the Directory of Archives and Manuscript Repositories in the St. Louis Area.
