GENERAL SCOPE AND CONTENTS:
Records document the establishment and development of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial, including acquisition of the riverfront property, demolition of buildings, construction of the Gateway Arch, renovation of the Old Courthouse, and planning and installation of exhibits in the Old Courthouse and the Museum of Westward Expansion. The Archives also includes limited manuscript materials that illustrate the exploration of the American West. The holdings comprise approximately 45 collections, about 500 lin. ft. of material.
