GENERAL SCOPE AND CONTENTS:

Published and unpublished Universityr ecords, and historical material and maps relating to the Illinois and Mississippi River Valleys, particularly the St.Louis Metro-East region. In addition to the collections listed below the library collects material related to coal mining, family and local history, jazz, ragtime, and manuscripts of local composers.
