The Directory of Archives and Manuscript Repositories in the St. Louis Area was begun in the 1980s by members of the Association of St. Louis Area Archivists. The purpose of this publication is to bring together in one place the names, contact information for, and descriptions of major repositories in the area. Included are the City of St. Louis, St. Louis County, surrounding counties in Missouri, and nearby counties in Southern Illinois. Each repository is limited to choosing one category. If you do not see the repository you are looking for under one category, please check another. If you have any questions, or wish to submit any corrections or additions, please contact us at stlarchivists@gmail.com.
